What is Poof?

Poof is a pet activity tracker that attaches to your pet’s collar and allows you to monitor their health and motion through the Poof app.

Is there a monthly service fee for Poof?

Not at all! Poof is a free app; your membership won’t cost you a thing.

What’s the difference between Bean and Pea?

The main difference in the two models of Poof is the battery. The Bean has a rechargeable battery and comes with a USB cord charger. The Pea has a standard coin cell battery that can be easily replaced.

How long does the battery last?

The Bean’s rechargeable battery lasts about 60 weeks on each charge.
The Pea’s replaceable battery lasts 180 days before it needs to be replaced.

Is Poof waterproof?

Yes! We couldn’t design a Pet Tracker and not expect it to get a little wet! Both models are waterproof up to 1 meter, for 30 minutes.

How does Community Lost Pet Alert work?

If your pet wanders off, mark him “Lost” in the app. In Lost Mode, when your pet walks into range of another Poof user, you will be notified of his location. You can then IM the other Poof user to ask for their help while you make your way to them.

I can’t get my Bean to pair, what should I do?

Please charge the Bean for at least 5 minutes and try again. If same error occurs, go to the Acitivity page and tap the three lines. Tap on your username to open Your Profile. Choose the pet with the connection issue. Tap the "Device" button. Tap "Delete Device". Then "Add Device" to pair with tracker.

How do I remove a pet?

Open the app and click on your pet’s icon in the top right. Slide left on the pet you wish to remove to display the trash icon. A message will display asking you to confirm this action.

How do I add a pet?

Open the activity page. Click on your pet's image/avatar. A side menu will open up with the "Add Pet" option.

How do I mark a pet lost?

Click on your profile. Select your pet's profile. At the bottom of this page, click on Find My Pet.

Why isn't my pet's location updating on the map?

To update your pet's location, pair your Poof to the App.

How do I unpair my Poof so that I can add a replacement device, or switch it to a new account?

Open up your sidebar by tapping the three lines in the top left corner. Tap on your username to open your Profile. Choose the pet that the device you want to unpair is attached to. Tap the “Device” button. Tap the “Delete Device” button. Then sync your replacement Pet Tracker to the app.

Where is the battery indicator?

To view the battery indicator, click on your profile, select your pet’s profile, then click on [Device].

How do I add one Poof to multiple devices?

Each Poof can only pair to one account. Multiple users (phones) will require to use the same account login to view the same tracker.

How does score work?

Your pet’s score is based on his/her level of activity, breed, age and weight. The average pet will receive a score of 55-75 based on regular exercise and play. The more active your pet, the higher their score.

What is rank?

#1 is the highest your pet can Rank. The ranking is based on your pet’s activity score compared to all other Poof Pets.

How many pets can I add to my Poof App?

There is no limit to how many pets you can monitor on your Poof app. The more the merrier!

How do I sync my pet’s data?

When you’re ready to sync your Pet Tracker to the Poof app, make sure the Pet Tracker is within 10-15 feet of your smartphone. Open up the Poof app, and on the home screen, click the orange arrow button in the bottom right-hand corner to begin syncing.

Why is activity tracking for pets important?

Keeping track of what your pets are up to while you’re not with them is not just interesting; it’s also imperative to keeping them healthy.

Since our pets can’t communicate with us verbally, we need to keep an eye out for signs they might not be feeling well. A dip in activity, a spike in sleep, or too many calories per day are all signs it’s time to take your pal in for a checkup or change their routine.

What if I don’t sync my pet’s data for a few days or weeks, will the data disappear?

Although we recommend syncing the Pet Tracker daily in order to keep an eye on your pet’s health, your Poof device will hold onto any stored data for up to 30 days. The data will be wiped if you disconnect the Poof from your account and connect it to a different Poof account.
